Fallen Heroes 2 Ready to Go!

Fallen Heroes 2 has been completed is currently going to print. The hope is that it will be resting alongside the larger Unseen Shadows graphic novel at Thoughtbubble but we cannot confirm that at this stage as the book is so close to the date in question. We have no doubt that Stu at Ukomics is doing everything he can to make sure visitors at Leeds get to have a look at the new edition.

Featuring Ben ‘The Hand’ Ashodi and Stephanie Connisbee from the previous issue (and the Tales of the Fallen Graphic novel) as well as introducing some pivotal characters and developments to the FH canon, it’s been put together by Barry Nugent (writer of the original novel and general demagogue), Martin Conaghan (writer and calm voice of reason), Steve Penfold (me, on pencils and inks), Gat Melvyn (colours, seamlessly professional) and Paul Mclaren (lettering and diligent communicator).

BTB celebrates 25,040 hits!!

Myself and Dan were very specific a short while ago that 25,040 hits specifically was an important milestone in the history of Beyond the Bunker (not 25,000). After 10 short months we have steadily built up to the magic number from 18 hits in September 2011 to 4,724 in March. We’ve still got a lot to do and some of the stuff responsible for BTB’s reaching of 25,040 hits is linked down below. Moon 2, FH 2 and Unseen Shadows have seen new creatives join and cooperate with the Bunker and 2012 promises to be an interesting time for us – with old projects coming to an end and new ones already being planned. We hope you enjoy the upcoming stuff. Thanks from both myself and Dan for checking in on us.

Fallen Heroes 2 Page 1

Fallen Heroes 2 is underway – pages well on the way to Mr Gat Melvyn on the great South peninsula of Africa. With Unseen Shadows building up momentum Fallen Heroes 2 has to get ahead of itself in order to be prepared for the big launch later on this year. Will be trying to post up updates of Fallen Heroes regularly here on Thursdays along with any other Unseen Shadows updates.

Prepping up for Kapow!! Things that might be available at Kapow!

Look - badges!! (possibly)

Now you might well think that we were just going to wander up to Kapow with a box full of books and try to push them off onto any unsuspecting soul walking by. But no – we plan (hope) to offer choice!! CHOICE!! That’s right. Not only the heady goodness that is a copy of Moon 1 but you can (perhaps) buy badges of various designs AND the First Beyond the Bunker DVD – a collection of mine and Dan’s short films (mostly Dan’s if I’m honest – I was drawing things). 6 of the best from the BTB Film collection no less with The Devil’s Fork, Cock, the newly minted Wild Watch – fresh from success at the 2 Days Laughter short film competition – some children’s television entertainers sanguine too with Edd: Ducking the Past, (Box):Fresh and the film that spawned the legend – The Day the Moon got too Close. All on 1 DVD! Plus extras! Plus I think there’s a trailer on there somewhere- WOOHOO!! (Ahem).

However, the badge company have informed us there are delays to the delivery and the DVD covers are currently with an unnamed supporter of the Bunker who is risking all to complete them all and get them back to us tomorrow night… so we’ll have to see what happens…..

But who cares because we have Moon 1 and Fallen Heroes will be available to all comers (limited supply of FH 1 so get in quick at the Fallen Heroes table!!).

Moon 1 and Fallen Heroes 1 available on BTB in the next week…

The Moon launch last night at the Square Pig in Holborn went exactly as expected – in that everyone had a great time, everyone had a wicked time, enjoyed the book, the music was monumental and someone was almost killed. Mix that together with being surrounded by Police, possible attack by anarchists, explosive sound checks, great music, some classic moments in the history of photography, the introduction of an amazing Moon theme tune which we are now looking forward to getting recorded and having sold a butt load of Moon books and you have a great event. Anarchists always finish off my day nicely I find.

Check back here tomorrow for more Moon news and throughout the week for more details on the event itself. Amazing stuff.

But we’re not done yet – there’s still a hell of lot more to do. Moon 1 and Fallen Heroes 1 are still available to buy in various forms and details of how those who didn’t make it to the event can get their hands on more copies will be posted up here over the next few days!! Indeed Moon 1 will be available to buy online right here tomorrow. Watch this space. With Moon 2 and Fallen Heroes 2 on its way, and news on more projects on the way you ain’t seen nothing yet.

Also, don’t forget that we will be in attendance at the Kapow Comic con in London on the 9th and 10th April and Fallen Heroes have announced that a few (very few) more printed copies will be available at their table on that weekend.
