Django Unchained Trailer: Revenge is a Dish Best Served Cool

Ethically borderline central characters – Check, 70s Kung Fu Movie simplicity – Check, Coolness bordering on latent homoeroticism – Check. Must be Tarantino’s back. Since the rampaging glory and Revenge of the Jews that was Inglorious Basterds I’ve been waiting (without really thinking about it often) for the next high octane dose of the ‘Tino.

While we’re never going to see the edginess of Pulp Fiction again these films are getting broader and more fun. It looks awesome. And looking at the slightly self aware casting it’s classic Tarantino!

It’s like Roots but where the slaves kick ass!!

Date Movie? Snow White and the Huntsman Full Trailer 2

I had avoided watching this trailer – caught it at the beginning of something else that turned out to be a fake. Could this be the answer to all our problems? A grand rethink on a fairy tale with high end CGI rearing up monsters, scenes and beasts that blend seamlessly with the fairy tale roots. Bella Swan, Thor, Monster and Mr Smee in one film? Nice.

If you’re girlfriend wasn’t a Twilight fan you’re screwed. However, it means you’re not going out with a Twilight fan.

Abraham Lincoln : Vampire Hunter Trailer

It’s easy to see this as the end of real cinema but that’s an over simplification. This is, in part what cinema is for. Everyone’s had that crazy idea of this being the best thing they could imagine. Now, thanks to cinema we can see it happen. It’s the realisation of ephemeral and transient dreams made large and available to everyone. That should be what cinema is about, surely?

Plus; did you see him smash that tree with an axe?!! That was awesome. Abraham Lincoln has returned, directed by a Russian and fighting Vampires. Can’t wait!

Captain Kirk versus Bane with a CIA arms budget!! THIS IS WAR Trailer.

This little beauty was No.2 most viewed trailer on Imdb between Avengers and the Muppets so highbrow rests in a bucket for another day!! Hooray!!

Tom Hardy takes the money with this little number and Chris Pine comes in out of the icy cold of space to throw in with this girlfriend safe gun game of a movie. It’s a romantic comedy for boys!! Two partners and top agents of the CIA kick ass on a daily basis together until they discover they’re going out with the same girl (Reese Witherspoon). Que zany shooting out of the sky of multi million dollar spy planes (federal offence), fast cars and kooky smashing up of nice looking restaurants. Drag factor of McG aside this is at least a film with Bane and Captain Kirk beating up on each other and your girlfriend might agree to see it. Who knows.
