Moon 3 Page 1 Pencils…. Evil Wears a Furry Face

Moon 3.1.1

So, it’s that time again. The third instalment of Moon is beginning to hove into view. With it is the introduction of a very special kind of evil. Revealed briefly in Moon 2, BunBun Warmheart is a villain that had everything going for him. Now his crimes against humanity mean not even his cute little face can get him off. Our hero, Moon and Shades will be facing this little bleeder directly. What will they find out? What will they glean from this little furry bastard?

This is very much the start of the first story arc for Moon. The introduction is over – now it’s all about the investigation! Moon and his new partner, Shades Rodriguez are about to start dog paddling in dangerous waters, and there be sharks there. Heavily armed, laser guided, furry faced sharks that want to bite their legs off. With guns. And things. Threats will come from directions you’d never expect. You have been warned.

Evil is back. And it’s sitting on a raised chair in an interrogation room at the heart of the Agency.

DAH-DAH-DAAAAAAAAAH!

Hitler responds to Kony 2012

One video this week has sent literal shockwaves of sentiment worldwide for the suffering of child soldiers under the regime of Joseph Kony, leader of the Lords Resistance Army. But nothing online reveals the ambiguity of ‘awareness’ and ‘message sending’ over such a heinous subject than this short – taking advantage of a popular meme involving a dictator who sent as many children into gas chambers during the second world war denouncing his modern equivalent.

To those unsure of the situation transpiring – we would recommend you watch this video which has already created a furore around the world and make up your own mind. It’s already being hailed as a tidal point in the internet’s capacity to bring issues to millions instantly but also denounced as an American plot to attack a poor nation. It’s confusing out there. Rumours they found oil there last week remain uncorroborated.

It’ll be interesting (and hopefully gratifying) to see if the internet can pull itself together and aid those with the capability to do it to intervene or (better) allow Uganda to deal with this issue. If children around the world can sleep soundly and safely forever it may be because of movements like this. Right now – it’s hard to say.

We here at Beyond the Bunker only hope that as a result something significant, positive and lasting takes place. And that arguments over the fact that the people trying to make the point are wearing hipsters drop further down the list of things we care about.

The Extraordinary Tales of Monsieur Poppaleux #30 – Those Who Grew Up Tall And Proud

In 1993, famous Belgian author and spring onion connoisseur, Dr Jean-François Bacharach created a series of books for children. The aim of the project was to use state of the art digital technology to educate and inform on a wide range of topics from maths and theology to poetry and tennis. Using pioneering clip-art techniques, he produced a staggering portfolio of work that continues to be widely distributed in schools across the world and Belgium. Sadly DrBacharach himself was eventually imprisoned due to his being ahead of his time and because he killed a quite staggering number of cats. However his work lives on here at the Bunker! We have secured the entirety of Dr Bacharach’s monumental work and now present it to you. C’est formidable!
